Date: August 1, 2023 3:00 P.M. Location: Emery County Administration Building 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, Utah Emery County Board of Commissioners: Lynn Sitterud, Chairman Jordan Leonard Keven Jensen -Pledge of Allegiance/ Invocation- (Note to the public: The consent agenda consists of item(s) that are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in the form of one motion. Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Items to be pulled for discussion by the Board will be placed first on the list of discussion items. All other consent agenda items will be approved in one motion. Approval of check edit list, requisitions, and dispositions. Approval to appoint Nacole Steele to the CED Board to serve a four year term. Approval of July 18, 2023 Commission Meeting Minutes. Discussion Items Items that require discussion before approval by motion. Items pulled from the consent agenda. Introduction of the new Miss Emery County Royalty. Discuss/Approve/Deny monetary donation to the Emery High Rodeo Team for 2023. Discuss/Approve/Deny proposed expenditures/allocations for Opioid funds received by Emery County from 2022 to May 25, 2023. Discuss/Approve/Deny Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Emery County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Program Management Office regarding the use of Emery County Sheriff's Office Interoperable Systems and IPAWS OPEN Platform for Emergency Networks (IPAWS-OPEN). Discuss/Approve/Deny Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Five-Nines Resource, LLC. Discuss/Approve/Deny contract for advertising between Emery County Travel Bureau and Jody and Larry Prettyman Outdoor Advertising. Discuss/Approve/Deny formal cancellation of agreement between Emery County and the State of Utah Division of Facilities and Construction. (Contract No. 191366) Discuss/Approve/Deny letter of support for North American Helium, LLC regarding helium well project in Utah for drilling and production of three helium wells. Commission/Elected Officials Reports. Adjourn. Any other business which may regularly come before The Board.
