- 2023 Municipal Election Information Notice of Candidate Names General Election: November 7, 2023 The following positions are to be voted upon in the Town of Alta 2023 Municipal Election. - Council Seat At-Large, four-year term - Council Seat At-Large, four-year term Candidates' names as they will appear on the ballot: 1. Elise Morgan 2. Sheridan J. Davis 3. Dan Schilling ______________________________________________________________________________ Write-In Candidate: To become a valid write-in candidate for the election, a person must file a 'Write-In Declaration of Candidacy' form in person with the Town Clerk by September 5, 2023. The candidate must also qualify for all the requirements of the office. Voter Registration The requirements to become a registered voter are: - Citizen of the United States; - Resident of Utah for at least 30 days immediately before the election; - At least 18 years old on the day of the election; - At least 17 years old for some Primary Elections if you will be 18 prior to the associated General Election; - Reside in the voting district or precinct in which the person applies to register to vote.
