- PUBLIC NOTICE The Board of Education of Jordan School District will meet in potential work, business, and closed sessions on July 28, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Jordan Learning Center, 3706 West 9800 South, South Jordan, Utah. AGENDA July 28, 2026 1. SUMMER WORK SESSION - OPEN MEETING - 9:00 a.m. The Board may engage in discussion, provide administrative direction, or take other action on any of the agenda items listed below. A. Board Self-Assessment Mr. Richard Stowell, Executive Director, Utah School Boards Association Discussion on being resilient lifelong learners and empathetic communicators. B. Board Goal Setting Ms. Niki George, Board President Set goals regarding areas of improvement. C. Break: Mind-resilient Lifelong Learners Activity D. Empathetic Communication Strategies Ms. Stacee Worthen, Counseling Consultant, Student Services Activity for improving Board communication and understanding. E. Five-Year Housing Plan Ms. Erin Barrow, Board Member, Facilities Advisory Committee Mr. Scott Thomas, Administrator of Auxiliary Services Creation of a five-year timeline. F. Lunch Break G. Service Project 2. BUSINESS SESSION - OPEN MEETING Ms. Niki George, Board President A. General Business - Motion to Approve Consent Agenda Items Routine items on the Consent Agenda not requiring public discussion by the Board may be adopted by a single motion. A Board member may request to remove an item from the consent agenda for individual discussion and consideration. 1) Board Minutes B. Bid 1. Facility Services - Asphalt Repair Discussion and possible action to provide asphalt repair including but not limited to patching of holes, filling of cracks, excavation, removal and disposal of old asphalt, and replacing with new throughout the District. Total Estimated Expenditure: $3,750,000.00 (over five years). Source of funding: Capital Funds Budget. C. Motion to Adjourn to Closed Session 3. POTENTIAL CLOSED SESSION A.
