- Midway City Planning Commission Regular Meeting August 11, 2026 Notice is hereby given that the Midway City Planning Commission will hold their regular meeting at 6:00 p.m., August 11, 2026, at the Midway City Community Center 160 West Main Street, Midway, Utah. If you would like to attend via Zoom (barring any technical issues that would make Zoom unavailable), you can find the link here: http://www.midwaycityut.gov. 6:00 P.M. Regular Meeting - Liaison Report - Staff reports to the Planning Commission regarding land use related items in Midway. Call to Order - Welcome and Introductions; Opening Remarks or Invocation; Pledge of Allegiance. Regular Business 1. Review and possibly approve the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of July 14, 2026. 2. Midway City is proposing a zone map amendment in several areas of the city. The proposed amendment would remove areas from the Transient Rental Overlay District (TROD) which allows properties to be rented on a short-term basis. Areas proposed for removal include Turnberry, Turnberry Woods, Midway Village, lots in the Mountain Spa Rural Preservation subdivision, 100 South between 50 West and 100 West, Rising Ranch subdivision, and an area in the C-2 zone that is east of Fox Den Road and south of Main Street. If these areas are removed from the TROD then no new short-term rentals will be allowed in these areas. a. Discussion of the proposed zone map amendment b. Public hearing c. Possible recommendation to the City Council 3. Midway City is proposing a code text amendment to Section 16.13.270: Home Occupations. The proposed changes would amend various requirements of code including, but not limited to, number of vehicles, work and personal, allowed on a lot or parcel. a.
