- TOWN OF MANILA REGULAR TOWN COUCIL MEETING TOWN CONFERENCE MEETING ROOM 145 E HWY 43 May 14, 2026, AT 5:30 P.M. AGENDA REGULAR MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: PRESENT: GUESTS: EXCUSED: PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: BUSINESS: CONSENT CALENDAR: ADDENDUM: KEVIN CLEGG: Planning and Zoning recommended approval to the Town Council for his lot combination. KEVIN CLEGG: Kevin requests discussion of garbage collection for private lanes and consideration of waiving the garbage fee on his monthly utility bill. AUSTIN LYON: Planning and Zoning reviewed the application for a new short-term rental in Manila and recommended that the Town Council approve the request. PLANNING & ZONING MEETING SCHEDULE UPDATE: Notification that Planning and Zoning has approved a change to their regular meeting schedule. Meetings will now be held on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. This item is for informational purposes only. SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT EASEMENT: Discussion on the purchase of the easement for the new sewer improvement project. DUMP STATION UPDATE: WATER CONSERVATION: Discussion regarding the potential for implementing water use restrictions due to ongoing water shortages across the state. LIGHTING ORDINANCE: Discuss the proposed Lighting Ordinance and set a date for a public hearing to review and adopt the ordinance. FIREWORKS ORDINANCE: Discuss the proposed Fireworks Ordinance and set a date for a public hearing to review and adopt the ordinance. MAYOR'S UPDATE: PUBLIC COMMENT: EXECUTIVE SESSION: ADJOURNMENT: In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, Individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during the meeting should call the Manila Town Clerk at 435-784-3143 at least 24 hours before the meeting.
