- Memo To: Councilmembers and Media From: Mayor Joette Langianese and Commission Chair Melodie McCandless Date: April 7, 2026 Re: Special Joint City Council/Grand County Commission Meeting The Moab City Council and Grand County Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Moab City Council Chambers at 217 E. Center Street, Moab, Utah. The purpose of this meeting is for the City of Moab and Grand County to start identifying where we can work together on shared issues. This meeting is the first step in what we hope will be an ongoing conversation about how we can combine efforts and better support the community as a whole. 12:00 - Lunch 12:30 - Meeting Start Time 1. UMTRA - (30 minutes) a. Site Futures - (Mary McGann/Saxon Sharp) i. Moab City Resolution 19-2023 ii. Grand County Resolution b. Memorandum of Understanding between Grand County and Moab City Altas Park Perspective Planning Efforts - Joette/Mel c. Discussion on UMTRA site Infrastructure Transfer 2. Main St. Sidewalk Installation - Liquor Store to City Limits (10 minutes) a. Shared Costs (Mark/Quinn) i. UDOT -curb and gutter ii. Moab City/Grand County sidewalk costs 3. Economic Development (30 minutes) a. Moab Area Partnership for Seniors Project (Joette/Mel) i. Senior Services b. Downtown Plan Update (Michael/Melisa) c. Golf Course Studies (Michael/Melisa) 4.
