- PUBLIC NOTICE CENTERFIELD CITY COUNCIL VACANCY Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has occurred on the Centerfield City Council. The vacancy will be filled at the Centerfield City Council meeting scheduled on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Centerfield City Hall by appointment of the City Council and in accordance with state law (UCA 20A-1-510). The position will run through December 31, 2029. Those who wish to be considered for this City Council position are invited to apply and participate in the process. PUBLIC MEETING TO APPOINT . Date: Wednesday, January 7, 2026 . Time: 7:00 p.m. . Location: Centerfield City Hall, 130 South Main Centerfield, Utah QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE: (UCA 10-3-301; 20A-9-203) Be a United States Citizen Be a registered voter of Centerfield City Be a resident of Centerfield City for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the appointment Not be disqualified by statute ( e.g., felony conviction or other legal incapacity under election law) HOW TO APPLY Submit a declaration of candidacy (do not sign until in the presence of the city recorder), application questionnaire, and completed conflict of interest disclosure form to: Lacey Belnap, City Recorder 130 South Main Centerfield, Utah or via email: belnapl@centerfieldcityut.gov Deadline for submission: Monday, January 5, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. INTERVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESS To be considered for appointment, all applicants must participate in a public interview during the City Council meeting on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCOSURE Pursuant to Utah Code § 20A-1-510(8), each applicant must complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement under § 10-3-301.5 and submit it with their application. The City will post each disclosure on its website within two business days of receipt and maintain it for at least ten days after the appointment. POSTING AND NOTICE This notice will be posted on the Utah Public Notice Website, the Centerfield City website, and at Centerfield City Hall in accordance with § 20A-1-510.
