- RESOLUTION NO. 2025-10 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE CANVASS OF THE 2025 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF KAMAS A Resolution of the City Council of Kamas City, canvassing the returns of the General Municipal Election held on November 4, 2025 for the position of two City Council seats and declaring the result thereof. WHEREAS, pursuant to Utah Code Ann. ยง 20A-4-301(2)(a), the Mayor and the Municipal Legislative Body constitutes the Board of Canvassers of the City of Kamas; WHEREAS, on November 18, 2025, the Board met to canvass the election returns of the 2025 City of Kamas General Municipal Election held November 4, 2025; WHEREAS the election returns have been received and counted by the Summit County Clerk's Office; and WHEREAS the Board publicly canvassed the returns and determined the vote for each candidate; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Canvassers of the City of Kamas, Utah, as follows: Section 1. The City Council, of Kamas City, (The City), called an Election and directed that it be held on November 4, 2025 as per Utah State Law, for the purpose of electing two City Council seats to the City for a term of four years each (the Election). Section 2. The Mayor and the City Council, acting as the Board of Canvassers, have reviewed all matters and action taken relating to the Election and are ready to declare the results thereof. Section 3. Pursuant to the canvass of election returns, the Board finds that the following votes were cast by the qualified voters of The City who voted in the Election: Total ballots cast in the Election: 551 CITY COUNCIL Total votes cast for Steve Cyr 186 Total votes cast for Michael K Georgi 339 Total votes cast for David W. Darcey 377 Section 4. The City Council acting as the Board of Canvassers of the Election, finds, determines, and declares the foregoing as accurate and the final results attached hereto as the official results for the 2025 Kamas City General Municipal Election. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of November, 2025. https://www.kamascityut.gov/page/elections
