- NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR MEETING Wednesday, October 8, 2025 7:00 PM Opening Ceremonies Welcome: Mayor Anderson conducting Pledge of Allegiance Invocation: By Invitation * The agenda shall be as follows: (The order of the agenda items may change.) 1. Public hearing to provide information and receive public comments on the reauthorization of the Recreation, Arts, and Parks (RAP) Tax 2. Public Comments a. Time set aside for the council to receive public comments on matters not listed on the agenda- See Notes 3. Discussion and Action Items a. Approval of paying UDOT for Safe Path Connect Project b. Approval to pay Gunnison Valley PD for School Resource Officer c. Discussion and possible acceptance of Vearl Albert Christiansen annexation request d. Review of Lion's projects and Town's Capital Improvements list e. Review of Ordinance Violations f. Discussion of proposed Ordinance changes g. Approval of Fiscal Year 2026 Fraud Risk Assessment h. Approval of Ordinance 2025-5 An Ordinance Amending Impact Fees 4. Council Business a. Department Reports i. Mayor Anderson- Gunnison Hospital Annual Report ii. Review and approval of Claims- Invoices from the register dated 9/11/25 thru 10/8/25 iii. Review and approval of Minutes- Regular meeting September 10, 2025 iv. Upcoming Calendar Items: 1. Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) Training 5. Unfinished Business 6. Adjourn Notes: Public Comment-Members of the public may address the Town Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Everyone will have up to two minutes to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comments at this time. At the conclusion of each public comment, the Council may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda. All Town Council meetings are recorded. The Council may vote to discuss certain matters in closed session pursuant to the Utah Code annotated 52-4-5 (to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation or the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual, or acquisition of property). Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. ยงยง 52-4-207 et. seq., Open and Public Meetings Act some of the Town Council and public may appear electronically. Prior arrangements must be made by contacting the Town Clerk at least 24 hrs in advance. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons requesting accommodations for Town sponsored public meetings, services, programs, or events should call the Town Hall at 435-528-5061, giving at least 48 hours' notice.
