A board member will be appointed to follow up if further discussion and follow-up are required. 6:05 Approval of Special Events and Athletic Field Use Requests Siavash Ghaffari - President Name/Organization/Event Pavilion(s) or Field(s) *Midnight Madness 5K Pedestrian Walkway Portfolio 1 12/31/2025 *American Heart Assoc 2026 Utah Heart & Stroke Walk Entire Park/Road Closure Portfolio 2 Set up 9/18/2026 event 9/19/2026 *Cupids Chase 5K Big Field Portfolio 3 2/14/2026 *Salt Lake Marathon Entire Park/Road Closure Portfolio 4 4/25/2026 *These event requests are exempt from appearing before the Park Authority for approval because they have been held for three or more consecutive years. * Action Item: Park Authority Vote(s) Required Administrative Items for the Board 1. Update on draft contract between Salt Lake County and SHPA (Patrick). 2. Pond Dredging Project update scheduled for Q4-2025 (Patrick) 3. Land & Water Conservation Fund Compliance Inspection from the October 23 inspection (Roxanne) 4. TreeUtah agreement in place (Jackie) 5. Hotel Project on Sizzler Property Update (Jackie) 6. Big Field and Parley's Creek Pavilion Update (Roxanne) 7. CIP Committee Update on ZAP (Richard) Informational Only 6:50 Termination of Lease with Utah Associated Garden Clubs (UAGC) Siavash Ghaffari Move forward to terminating the month-to-month lease with UAGC Action Item: Park Authority Vote Required If the motion passes, proceed to remove UAGC property and access from the Garden Center Building by December 31st, and cancel all reservations for the 2026 calendar year. UAGC is welcome to reserve the building at the public rate for 2026. Action Item: Park Authority Vote Required 7:10 Garden Center Maintenance Update Holly Nichols Update on Unity Church, internet and door lock installation, and termination of Lindsay Schou. Information Only 7:20 Board Elections Siavash Ghaffari Request nominations and board approval for the positions of President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Action Item: Park Authority Vote Required 7:45 New Candidates for SHP board Siavash Ghaffari Four Candidates for interviews 1. Eric Forbush 2. Max Stocking Move to a closed session for discussion of the candidates. Move to come out of the closed session for a formal vote. Action Item: Park Authority Vote Required Incident Reports and Park Updates Patrick Leary Status update on any major incidents (requiring police, ambulance, fire department, etc.) at the park last month.
