- ***NOTICE*** November 7, 2025 Per state code, two public hearings will be held regarding the 2025 Area 5 Population Analysis Study where there will be discussion and a vote on the following recommendations. - A proposed school closure of Eastwood Elementary. Eastwood's boundary would then be merged with Oakridge Elementary Proposed Eastwood closure map (PDF) - A proposed school closure of Morningside Elementary with boundary adjustments to Driggs and Rosecrest Elementary schools. Proposed Morningside closure map (PDF) - A proposed school opening of a French DLI and ALC (Gifted) Magnet School at the current Morningside campus. - Other boundary adjustments include: o A portion of Wilson Elementary to Rosecrest Elementary map (PDF) o Portions of Driggs Elementary to Cottonwood Elementary school. Full map of the Area 5 Study Proposals (PDF) Full map of the Area 5 Study zoomed in (PDF) The first public hearing will be held at the Granite School District Board of Education meeting on November 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in Auditorium A of the Granite Education Center, at 2500 South State Street in South Salt Lake City. A second public hearing will be held at the Granite School District Board of Education meeting on December 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in Auditorium A of the Granite Education Center, at 2500 South State Street in South Salt Lake City.
