Presentation: 1. Nick Wright from HVFD 2. Chief Nuccitelli, HOV B. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be addressed in a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Meeting Minutes: July 15, 2025, special meeting, July 16, 2025, regular meeting. 4. Checks and Invoices: $ 507,589.01 C. Public Hearing 1. Public Hearing to receive public input regarding possible Increase in compensation for City Recorder and City Recreation Director. D. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2025-05, approving an increase in compensation for the La Verkin City Recorder and La Verkin City Recreation Director, and establishing effective date. 2. Discussion and possible action to approve the 2025 Primary Election Canvass. 3. Discussion and possible action to approve the Interlocal Agreement between Washington county, Utah and the City of La Verkin for TRT funding to design a portion of the Zion Corridor Trail. 4. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. 2025-09, a Resolution amending the La Verkin Employee Policies and Procedures Manual to include annual Ethical Behavior Statement. 5. Discussion and possible action to approve Proclamation -2025-02; a proclamation designating September 17-23, 2025, as Constitution Week. 6. Discussion and possible action to approve the Critical Infrastructure Materials Operations Agreement with Interstate Rock. 7. Discussion and possible action to approve Interstate Rocks application for a Critical Infrastructure Materials Protection Area. 8. Discussion regarding increasing the business license fees. 9. Discussion regarding the Zion Scenic Byway Corridor management plan E. Mayor & Council Reports: Mayor Wilson: Blair Gubler: Washington County Solid Waste, Homeland Security/CERT Wise: Planning Commission/Zoning, Beautification/Trails Committee, Economic Development/Tourism Micah Gubler: Public Safety, Recreation/City Festivals Hirschi: Fire District, Ash Creek Special Service District, DTEC Prince: Southwest Mosquito Abatement, Historical Preservation Fay Reber: City updates F. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item.
