- Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee Meeting Tuesday, August 12, 2025; 3:00 P.M. 311 S. State St., Suite 330, SLC, UT 84111 Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Environment System Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, beginning at approximately 3:00 P.M. You may attend the meeting at the anchor location: the CWC offices located in the Brighton Bank building, 311 S. State Street Ste. 330, Salt Lake City, or virtually by registering at the below link. Please note that after registering, you will receive an email containing a meeting access link. https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEtdOioqjkvGNwtOZw9lv78I9exGu3EBx2F Please take notice that a quorum the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the above-referenced meeting. The agenda for that meeting of the Committee is accessible here: Utah Public Notice Website, the anchor location, The Salt Lake Tribune, and Deseret News. Civility and decorum should be applied in all discussions and debate. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. Public officials and the public are encouraged to refrain from making belligerent, personal, impertinent, slanderous, threatening, abusive, or disparaging comments. 3:00 P.M. Opening 1. Chair Kelly Boardman will open the public meeting as Chair of the Environment System Committee of the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council. 2. Review and approval of the minutes of the July 8, 2025 meeting. 3:00 P.M. Central Wasatch Transportation and Systems Discussion 1. The committee will discuss how transportation planning can balance environmental protection with economic health and sustainability within the context of the Mountain Accord. 3:20 P.M. Little Cottonwood Canyon Transportation Facilitation Discussion 1. The committee will identify organizations and communities involved in transportation planning in Little Cottonwood Canyon. 2. The committee will discuss how the CWC can facilitate collaboration between these groups to address short-term transportation solutions in Little Cottonwood Canyon. 3:40 P.M. Central Wasatch Transportation Facilitation Discussion 1. The committee will identify organizations and communities involved in transportation planning in the Central Wasatch, including Wasatch Boulevard, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Millcreek Canyon, Parleys Canyon, and the Wasatch Back. 2. The committee will discuss how the CWC can facilitate collaboration between these groups. 4:00 P.M. Impactful Environmental Goals Discussion 1. The committee will identify exemplary environmental goals and shared environmental goals among local businesses in the context of the upcoming 2034 Olympics. 4:15 P.M. Next Meeting Agenda 1. The committee will discuss items for the next meeting agenda. 4:20 P.M. Other Items 5:00 P.M. Closing 1. Chair Boardman will call for a motion to adjourn the Environment System Committee meeting. ___________________________________________________________________ CERTIFICATE OF POSTING At or before 3:00 P.M. on August 11, 2025, the undersigned hereby certifies that the above notice and agenda was: 1. Posted at the office of the governing body of each member entity of the CWC; and 4. Provided to the Salt Lake Tribune and/or Deseret News and to a local media correspondent. The audio recording and transcript of the meeting will be posted for public review. Commissioners will/may participate electronically. Meetings may be closed for reasons allowed by statute. Final action may be taken in relation to any topic listed on the agenda, including but not limited to adoption, rejection, amendment, addition of conditions and variations of options discussed.
