- Instructional Materials Open House Sept. 11, 2025 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM OPEN HOUSE FORMAT: Presenters will take up to 7 minutes to provide an overview of the requested material(s). Participants can ask clarifying questions throughout the presentation via the chat function on Zoom. After a total of 10 minutes, the next item will be reviewed. After all materials have been reviewed, participants can take up to 2 minutes to provide comments on any of the items that were on the agenda. These comments will be summarized and provided to the school board. Only participants who have students within the Davis School District will be allowed to provide comments. Those wishing to provide comments can ask to comment within the chat. In the chat, the commenter should provide their child's school. They will then be unmuted to provide their up to 2 minute comment. Items or topics not on the agenda will not be discussed or covered. FIRST REVIEW: In Focus Advisory Lessons Bountiful High School has requested to use Academic Well-Being Material in the lessons in their Directed Studies Student Success class (the other half of driver's ed). They may also consider implementing some of the Connection and Conditions, Physical Well-being, and Social Well-being modules into their health classes. Schools may desire to use this during Advisory time. Teachers would present lessons. The lessons are already prepared and are easy for teachers to implement. We will provide guidance to any school that uses this or any other well-being curriculum to ensure they are staying within the law regarding any written surveys that include social-emotional learning questions. Only Units 1-7 are being suggested for final approval at each grade level; Unit 8, the Supplemental Unit, would not be approved for use.
