- MEMORANDUM To: Fire Prevention Board Members From: Ted Black State Fire Marshal Date: September 01, 2025 Subject: Fire Prevention Board Meeting. Virtual Meeting A Fire Prevention Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 09, 2025, at 8:30 A.M. at Utah State Fire Marshal's office, 410 W 9800 S, Sandy, Utah 84070. Interested parties may attend this meeting in person or by following this link: meet.google.com/yyo-czig-cnv The agenda for the Board Meeting will be as follows: 1. Board meeting called to order by Board Chair Chief Coy Porter 2. Approval of May 13, 2025, Fire Prevention Board meeting minutes. 3. Report to the Board by Chief Scott Spencer, Chair, Utah Fire Service Certification Council. 4. Report to the Board by Bradley Wardle, Director, Utah Fire and Rescue Academy. 5. Legislative update, Ted Black, Utah State Fire Marshal. 6. Old Business: 7. New Business: 8. I-3 Sub-committee recommendation. Mike Young, Deputy Supervisor, Utah State Fire Marshal's office, and guests. 9. November Board meeting date changed from the 11th (Veteran's Day) to the 18th? 10. Public Comment (limit to 2 minutes) 11. Appeals hearing by Brian Hirschi, Owner of Rendezvous Beach Rentals. Marine Fueling Operation, Laketown UT. 12. Entered in a closed session if determined by the Board. (Section 52-4-205, discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual). 13. Board action. 14. Approval by the Board to conduct the November 18, 2025, Fire Prevention Board meeting virtually and in person. 15. Next Board Meeting November 18, 2025, beginning 8:30 A.M., at Utah State Fire Marshal's office, 410 W 9800 S, Suite #372, Sandy, Utah 84070.
