- Description/Agenda
- CENTRAL WEBER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADJUSTMENT OF A COMMON BOUNDARY BETWEEN CENTRAL WEBER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND NORTH DAVIS SEWER DISTRICT Notice is hereby given pursuant to the requirements of Utah Code Ann. § 17B-1-417 that the Central Weber Sewer Improvement District (Central Weber) Board of Trustees has adopted a Resolution indicating its intent to adjust Central Weber's common boundary with the North Davis Sewer District (North Davis). Central Weber and North Davis, both of which are special districts, provide wholesale wastewater treatment services to Roy City, Utah, in addition to other areas. The common boundary between the districts within Roy City defines which areas within the City are to be served by each district. Wastewater from the area described below ('the 'Affected Area') was previously conveyed to Central Weber for treatment. However, Roy City, the retail service provider, has modified its sewage collection system to convey this wastewater to North Davis. Consequentially, the Central Weber Board has declared its intent to adjust the common boundary, to remove this area from Central Weber and include it in North Davis. The impact of the boundary adjustment on property owners or residents within the Affected Area is that they will pay property taxes and fees imposed by North Davis, whereas they currently are paying property taxes and fees imposed by Central Weber. Property owners or residents in the Affected Area will continue to receive retail sanitary sewer service from Roy City. The Central Weber Board of Trustees may approve the boundary adjustment unless, at or before the public hearing, written protests are filed with the Board by at least 50% of the owners of private real property in the Affected Area, both by land area and by assessed value; or by registered voters residing within the Affected Area equal in number to at least 50% of the votes cast in the Affected Area for the office of governor at the last regular general election before the filing of the protests; all as provided in Utah Code Ann. § 17B-1-417. Members of the public are invited to attend a public hearing regarding this boundary adjustment to be held at 5:00 p.m., on September 15, 2025 at Central Weber's administration building located at 2618 West Pioneer Road, Marriott-Slaterville, UT 84404.
