League staff is seeking feedback today for potential adoption at the August board meeting: - 'Facilitate and/or coordinate technical assistance programs that support municipalities - Question to discuss: - 1) What are your thoughts on the proposed 7th objective? - 2) What role, if any, should the League have in the implementation of the additional technical assistance opportunities (particularly for urban edge and transitioning rural areas)? - Deliberation: Big, Beautiful Bill in Congress and League recommendations for advocacy - Note: the memo provides context for the recommendations - Question to discuss: - 1) Do you ratify the staff recommendations for the One Big, Beautiful Bill? The memo also outlines topics for future deliberation at LPC advisory meetings and Board meetings. 1) Is there a path forward to some state standards around detached ADUs? 2) Is there a path forward to some state uniformity on infrastructure standards if there are unjustifiable outliers?
