As a courtesy, please step outside with noisy children or to speak amongst yourselves in order to maintain a quiet atmosphere for the meeting and the recording. The Board reserves the right to take an action on any agenda item. The board also reserves the right to go into closed session in compliance with Utah State Law 54-4-204, 205, & 206. Agenda Item Presenter and Time Stamp Materials/ Notes Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance Mr. Chuck Williams, Board Chair General Session Board Chair Comments: Mr. Chuck Williams Approve Minutes: June 25, 2024 Mr. Chuck Williams Superintendent Report/Presentation: Principal reports Financial Summary & AY25 Budget summary Enrollment update Publicity, Advertising, and Development UMA Learning Center St. George / Viper flight update UMA Disciplinary Code Update CW Custodial contract LEA-Specific licensing TSSA (Teacher Student Success Act) AY25 Ballistic Window Film Armed Intruder Early graduates Board Decisions/Approvals - Approve Disciplinary Code add 'False reporting of bullying/harassment' as a Class III Offense. - Approve Blumont as CW custodial service provider. - Approve specific teachers (per list) as 'LEA Specific Licensed' Teachers. - Approve Teacher Student Success Act (TSSA) AY 25 funds use for math, ELA, ELL teacher and special para salaries. - Approve specific teachers (per list) as 'LEA Specific Licensed' Teachers. - Approve Safe Haven Defense to provide ballistic window film for Hill Teen Center. - Approve Early Graduates Present Chris Deng as potential full-time Board Member Public Comment Period: An approximately 20-minute comment period is scheduled at the end of regularly scheduled Board meetings. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of 3 minutes. Participants must sign their name to the list prior to the start of the meeting. When recognized by the Presiding Board Member the participant will proceed to address the Board. Subject matter not allowed. - Comments concerning procurement of contracts, issues related to employment of individual personnel, criticism or defamation of District employees or Board members, or issues for which other avenues for appeal exist. - Comments regarding individual student education issues such as disciplinary action, special education programming, extracurricular eligibility and selection, etc. - Time may not be used by employees or their representatives to circumvent formal communication channels or established grievance or negotiation procedures. Members of the Board and the superintendent may ask questions of any person who addresses the Board only upon approval of the Presiding Board Member. The Board is unable, by law, to deliberate or take action on items not on the agenda. Executive Session (if needed,Closed to Public) CLOSED/EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board will consider a motion to close the meeting to hold a strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation, and/or to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property, and/or the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual in conformance with ยง 524204 and 524205 et. seq., Utah Code Annecutive Session, Motion to adjourn
