Other Business CONTINGENT - Gary Nielson, Chairman The Monroe Canyon wildfire currently burning in southern Utah has prompted the need to convene an emergency meeting of the Wildlife Board for today, August 1, 2025. The purpose of the meeting is for DWR to present potential big game and black bear permit surrender and extension options for hunters which fall outside of current administrative rule, which would require Board approval. These recommendations are being brought to the Board due to hunter access and safety concerns on the Monroe unit. Board Members in attendance at anchor location: Gary Nielson - Chairman Paula Richmond - Vice Chairman Kent Johnson Ryan Foutz Christopher Robinson Bob Christensen Riley Peck - Executive Secretary Board Members excused: Justin Oliver
