- West Point City Council Candidate Withdrawal Joelle Caruso has withdrawn as a candidate for West Point City Council. As a result, there is no need for a primary election for the city council race. Votes cast for city council candidates will not be counted. All remaining candidates for the city council race will proceed to the general election. This withdrawal only impacts the city council race. Votes for mayor candidates will still be counted as part of the primary election. Only the two mayoral candidates with the most votes in the primary election will proceed to the general election.
