Date: June 3, 2025 3:00 pm Location: Emery County Administration Building 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, Utah Emery County Board of Commissioners: Keven Jensen - Chairman Jordan Leonard - Vice Chairman Dennis Worwood - Commissioner -Pledge of Allegiance/ Invocation- (Note to the public: The consent agenda consists of item(s) that are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in the form of one motion. Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Approval of check edits list, requisitions, and dispositions Approval of May 20, 2025 Commission Meeting Minutes NOTIFICATION Selected Jessie Childs, Gideon Mecham, Cody Howard, and Ashley Mesler as part time Lifeguards working 19.75 hours per week. Wage Grade 3. Approval to appoint Don Bennett and Jeff Thomas as Limited Duties part time employees working on motorized trails with grant funding. Wage $20.00 ph, not eligible for benefits. Approval to give AJ O'Neil a 3% wage increase for successful completion of his 6 month orientation period as the Lieutenant, effective 6-9-25. Approval to give Jessamyn Ashby a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as a Lifeguard, effective 6-9-25. Discussion Items Items pulled from the consent agenda Presentation by Sarah Davenport of UtahUC3. Presentation by Tyler Jeffs regarding planning and zoning concerns. Discuss/Approve/Deny Presentation and monetary donation request by the EHS Student Council to attend the Trail Blazer Leadership Conference in St George. Discuss/Approve/Deny holding Free Swim Day on July 29th during the 2025 Emery County Fair. Discuss/Approve/Deny 2025 tax sale proceedings. Discuss/Approve/Deny recommendation from Planning & Zoning Commission regarding Jason Merrill's request. Discuss/Approve/Deny recommendation from Planning & Zoning Commissioner regarding Derek Beagley's CUP request. Discuss/Approve/Deny Emery County issuing conditional use permits on non-conforming lot sizes. Discussion regarding issuance of conditional use permits. Discussion regarding the nuclear industry in Emery County. Elected Official Reports Adjourn Any other business that may regularly come before The Board.
