- The Unified Police Department Evidence Unit has surplus property and items which have been taken into custody or otherwise remain unclaimed that are scheduled to be disposed of through JJ Kane's public online bidding auction from 9:00 a.m. on June 17th, 2025. An in-person preview will be held on June 16th, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 2353 North Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. Details can be found at www.jjkane.com. Items scheduled for disposal include automobiles and other vehicles, audio/visual equipment, personal property, jewelry, tools, auto parts, and household items. All cash proceeds from this liquidation will be forfeited to law enforcement uses in the public interest. Items that are not sold will be auctioned the following month on www.jjkane.com. As to unclaimed property, including legal tender, reasonable attempts have been made to contact the owners where applicable by U.S. Mail and/or other means. To submit a personal claim to any unclaimed items prior to liquidation please contact the UPD Evidence Warehouse at (385) 468-9530 within 10 days of publication.
