- UINTAH HIGHLANDS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT CANDIDATE FILING QUALIFICATIONS Local District Board Members Utah Code 17B-1-306(4) An election for the office of Board of Trustee for Uintah Highlands Improvement District will be held on November 4, 2025. There will be 3 seats open for elections in 2025. All are (4-year terms) beginning 1/1/2026. District Candidate qualifications are as follows: - A U.S. Citizen at the time of filing. - At least 18 years old on election day. - A Registered voter within the boundaries of the district. - Must have resided within the service district for the 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. - Maintain a principal place of residence within the district during term of office. - A user of at least one service provided by the district. - Has not been convicted of a felony, treason, crime, or offense; unless right to hold office has been restored under Utah Code Section 20A-2-101.5. - Cannot have been declared mentally incompetent. In accordance with Title 17B-1-306(5), candidates must meet qualifications and file a 'Declaration of Candidacy' form, in person at the district office 2401 E. 6175 S., Ogden, UT 84403. Filing period is June 2 - 9, 2025 during regular office hours. In person filing dates and times are as follows: In person filing period begins: Monday, June 2, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. In person filing period ends: Monday, June 9, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Posted this 21st day of May, 2025 By: Jerilyn Call, Administrator / Elections Clerk Publication posted May 21, 2025 1.
