MAY 8, 2025 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Police and Court Building located at 108 S 100 East in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The Work Session will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the same location. Work Sessions are public meetings; however, no testimony will be heard, and no official actions will be taken on items discussed during the work session. Although the public is invited to attend all sessions, public comments are accepted only for public hearing items. 6:30 p.m. Work Session (to consider the following items): (a) Commission Business (b) Staff Business 7:00 p.m. Regular Session: Commission Business: a. Pledge of Allegiance and Opening Remarks b. Agenda Approval c. Staff Reports d. Declaration of conflicts and abstentions from commission members 1. Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit - Located at 1601 E 200 S (Battle Creek Neighborhood) Public Hearing to consider the request of Todd Matthews for a Conditional Use Permit to permit an addition onto a nonconforming home, located at 1601 E 200 S in the R1-9 Zone. (Administrative Item) 2. Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit - Located at 1024 W 550 N (Mud Hole Neighborhood) Public Hearing to consider the request of Joshua Reeves for a Conditional Use Permit to permit Use 8224: Kennels, for up to a total of 10 cats and dogs, located at 1024 W 550 N in the R1-8 Zone. (Administrative Item) **ITEM HAS BEEN CANCELLED** 3. Public Hearing: Code Text Amendment - Sections 10-6-2 and 10-9A-8 (City Wide) Public Hearing to consider the request of Ben Huntsman for Code Text Amendment to amend Sections 10-6-2: Definitions, and 10-9A-8: Yard Requirements in the Rural Residential Zone. The applicant is requesting to amend the setback requirements for accessory buildings in the Rural Residential Zone and add, amend, or clarify several terms in the land use definitions. (Legislative Item) Review and approve the minutes for the April 24, 2025, meeting.
