- Notice is hereby given The Mayor and City Council of Helper City, A Municipal Corporation will hold a regular meeting on the 3rd day of April 2025. At the Council Chambers 19 South Main, Helper, Utah. The meeting shall begin at 6:00 pm. Agenda 1- Call to order. 2- Pledge of Allegiance. 3- Roll call. 4- Public Comment. 5- Approval of the minutes from the March 6, 2025 meeting. 6- Discussion and possible approval of crediting electric usage charges for 30 Welby Street Apt# 12 to David Stafford. 7- Discussion and possible approval of public art installation on the Rio Theater. 8- Discussion and possible approval of local area consent for Saturday Vibes. 9- Discussion and possible approval of local area consent for the Helper Liquor Store by Joelle Amaya. 10- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing tires for the backhoe for Public Works. The quoted amounts are $1,619.94 or $1,801.94. 11- Discussion and possible approval of renewing lease or purchasing of the backhoe for Public Works. 12- Discussion and possible approval of retaining the totaled 2008 Ford Expedition, 2022 Alcom Cargo Trailer, and 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. 13- Discussion and possible approval of the 3rd story HVAC system in the amount of $18,000.00 for the Helper Museum. 14- Discussion and possible approval of Ordinance 2025-01, an ordinance amending and updating the Helper City subdivision code to comply with state standards. 15- Discussion and possible approval of closing a portion of Main Street for an event sponsored by Wildcat. 16- Discussion and possible approval of Interlocal agreement and possible fee schedule providing for the provision of municipality elections by the Carbon County Clerk's office for Helper City. 17- Discussion and possible approval of fixing a portion of the roof above the Police Department in the amount of $18,525.00. 18- Discussion and possible approval of appointing one Council Member. 19- Discussion and possible approval of appointing up to three board members to the Museum Board. Reports only from Council Members and Department Heads. Closed session. Adjournment: The public is invited to submit questions or comments 24 hours before the meeting on agenda items only by calling (435) 472-5391 or emailing bheilesen@helpercity.gov. I Billie Heilesen, Helper City Recorder, do hereby certify the above notice and agenda was posted on the 1st day of April, 2025 at City Hall, helpercity.gov, and the Utah Public Notice Website. The agenda was provided to the media at least 24 hours before such a meeting.
