- 2025 MUNICIPAL ELECTION NOTICE Pursuant to Utah Code § 10-3-301(2)(a), notice is hereby given that Toquerville City will hold a Municipal General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for the following offices: Mayor - 4 Year Term Two (2) City Council Members - 4 Year Terms One (1) City Council Member - 2 Year Term A Municipal Primary Election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Qualified individuals may file a Declaration of Candidacy beginning June 2, 2025 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2025, at the Office of the City Recorder, located at 212 N. Toquer Blvd, Toquerville, UT 84774. Per Utah Code §§ 10-3-208(4) and 20A-9-203, each individual who files for candidacy will meet with the City Recorder to review the qualifications required to become a candidate and the legal requirements for disclosing campaign contributions and expenditures. To qualify as a candidate for an elected municipal office in Toquerville City, a person must: Be a United States citizen, Be a registered voter in Toquerville City, Be a resident of Toquerville for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election, Not have been convicted of a felony (unless the right to hold office has been restored under Utah law). If the number of candidates does not exceed twice the number of open positions for each office, a primary election will not be held. Dated this 22nd day of April 2025.
