Old Business New Business Rules update-Florencia/Janice/Cherie Messaging to all providers announcing R380-600 and the following: R432-31, R432-150, R432-35, R432-750 passed 30-day comment with no comments and are being activated as soon as approved by EDO. Change in proposed rule (R432-45) due to federal alignment Must file before 3/16 Change in proposed rule (R432-4) due to public comment requesting adding back in more recent guidelines. Must file before 3/16 R432-270 held up for internal discussion regarding public comment if this is to be a change in proposed rule it must be filed before 3/16 Any filed amendment you don't see activated or changed by 3/17 will expire and will need to be resubmitted Side rail use in assisted living facilities. A family member voiced a complaint to the department to allow a family member to use side rails in an assisted living facility to keep her from falling out of bed. The family member thinks that she should be able to request to be restrained in her bed.
