- SALT LAKE CITY PLANNING DIVISION PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA January 8, 2025, at 5:30 pm City & County Building 451 South State Street, Room 326 Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 (The order of the items may change at the Commission's discretion) This meeting will be held in person at the City & County Building. DINNER - Dinner will be served to the Planning Commissioners and Staff at 5:00 pm in room 326 of the City and County Building. During the dinner break, the Planning Commission may receive training on city planning related topics, including the role and function of the Planning Commission. PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 PM IN ROOM 326 REPORT OF THE CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR APPROVAL OF THE MEETING MINUTES OPEN FORUM - The Commissioners may discuss planning, zoning, and general land use items that are not listed on the agenda. This discussion will be limited to no more than 10 minutes. There is no public discussion associated with this item. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Reconnaissance Level Survey Rating Change for Upper Yale Local Historic District Designation - It has been identified that updates to the 2005 Yalecrest reconnaissance level survey are needed as part of a petition to designate the Yalecrest - Upper Yale as a local historic district. The principal structures located at 1820, 1828, and 1833 East Yale Ave, that were previously listed incorrectly as noncontributing, are recommended to be rated as contributing to the National Register. This item was previously heard by Planning Commission on June 26, 2024, and is returning for a recommendation to City Council. Alley Vacation at Approximately 2680 S Chadwick - Taylor Thomas is requesting approval for an alley vacation located between Stratford Avenue and 2700 S and Beverly Street and Chadwick Street. The alley is approximately 810 feet in length and 12 feet in width. If approved, this alley would be divided and given to the property owners that abut the alley. The subject alley is located within Council District 7, represented by Sarah Young.
