- Mountainland Association of Governments is initiating a public comment period for Summit and Wasatch Counties for obtaining public input for the Community Development Block Grants Program Years 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and PY 2025 Annual Action Plan. This comment period opens Feb 5, 2025 and closes Mar 7, 2025 Comments will be accepted during this period Attn: Heather Mills by postal mail: 586 E 800 N, Orem, UT 84097; by telephone: (801) 229-3815; by fax: (801) 229-3801; or by E-mail: hmills@magutah.gov A public hearing regarding the Consolidated Plan will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at MAG Orem Office at 586 E 800 N, Orem, Utah or via Google Meetings. The purpose of this public comment period is to solicit citizen feedback on the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan Draft pertaining to Summit and Wasatch Counties to shape the funding priorities discussed in the Plans. The Consolidated Plan covers five years (2025-2029) and will outline the CDBG projects anticipated in the Summit and Wasatch region. The Annual Action Plan covers the next program year. The Draft 2025 Consolidated Plan can be found on MAG's website at https://magutah.gov/summit-wasatch-cdbg/ The CDBG Program can fund a broad range of activities, including, but not limited to: construction of public works and facilities, e.g. water and sewer lines, fire stations, acquisition of real property, and provision of public services such as food banks or homeless shelters.
