- PUBLIC NOTICE 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Layton City and Davis County Equipment (Certified Disparate Jurisdiction) Joint Application O-BJA-2024-172239 Applicant Name - Layton City Corporation Application Case ID - A502301 Amount $18,392.00 Grant Period: Oct 1, 2023 thru Sept 30, 2025 The amount of total grant funding is based on a formula developed by the Department of Justice. The funds will be distributed as follows: LAYTON CITY (Municipal) - $16,392.00 DAVIS COUNTY (County) - $2,000.00 Layton City Police have administered several joint application grants for the Davis County area and are familiar with the accounting procedures required by the Department of Justice. Program/Project # 1: Layton Police $16,392.00 If funding is awarded, this department would use the grant funds to purchase equipment to enhance police operations. Total Unmanned Aerial Systems $16,392.00 Administration Fee N/A Layton City Grant Total $16,392.00 Program/Project # 2: Davis County $2,000.00 Grant funds will be used to purchase multimedia trial presentation hardware to electronically organize and present evidence during hearings and trials. Misc. computer and television hardware (laptops or tablets, drives, cables, and monitors) $2,000.00 Davis County Grant Total $2,000.00
