- Notice is hereby given The Mayor and City Council of Helper City, A Municipal Corporation will hold a regular meeting on the 5th day of September 2024. At the Council Chambers 19 South Main, Helper, Utah. The meeting shall begin at 6:00 pm. Agenda 1- Call to order. 2- Pledge of Allegiance. 3- Roll call. 4- Public Comment. 5- Approval of the minutes from the August 1, 2024 meeting. 6- Discussion and possible approval of appointment of Police Chief. 7- Proclamation to make September Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. - Amanda McIntosh 8- Discussion and possible approval of special event permit for Helper Middle School Cross Country Race. - Jodi Stowe 9- Discussion and possible approval of local area consent and closing parking spots for the Helper Projects fundraiser. - Michele Sulley 10- Discussion and possible approval of local area consent for St. Anthony's Carnival on November 7, 8, and 9, 2024. - Holly Stapley 11- Discussion and possible approval to close Main St. Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. 12- Discussion and possible approval of a 20-minute unloading zone at the corner of Main Street and Ivy Street, and a new ADA parking spot on Main Street. - Malarie DeVincent 13- Discussion on petition by property owners around the main Helper City Park. - Gary Burnham 14- Discussion and possible approval to surplus the public works 1996 Chevrolet truck. 15- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing a snow plow and salter in the amount of 19,000. 16- Discussion and possible approval of Resolution 2024-10 a resolution amending Helper City's electric fees by increasing the minimum base charge for meter bases. 17- Discussion and possible approval of Ordinance 2024-01 an ordinance increasing the fees for residential and commercial water use. 18- Closed Session. Reports from Council Members and Department Heads. Adjournment: The public is invited to submit questions or comments 24 hours before the meeting on agenda items only by calling (435) 472-5391 or emailing ztonc@helpercity.net. I Zack Tonc Helper City Recorder, do hereby certify the above notice and agenda was posted on the 3rd day of September 2024 at Helper City Office, helpercity.gov, and the Utah Public Notice Website. The agenda was provided to the media at least 24 hours before such a meeting.
