Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Approval of check edit list, requisitions, and dispositions Approval of September 3 , 2024, Commission Meeting Minutes Approval to give Tim Larsen a 3% wage increase for successful completion of his 6 month orientation period as a Deputy I, effective 9-30-24. Approval to hire Jesse Price as a full time Patrol Deputy I with full benefits. Wage Grade 16. Approval to give Jesse Price a $5,000 sign on bonus for already being LEO Certified, with a 2.5 year commitment. Approval to hire Devin Hooley as a full time Dispatcher I with full benefits, with the intent to become POST Certified. Wage Grade 14. Discussion Items Items pulled from the consent agenda. Safety Minute - Susan Hess, Branch Librarian in Castle Dale Awarding of Safety Visa Gift Cards (375 days) Presentation by Nikki Allred and Kent Nelson regarding the 1Direction Coalition and Green River Prevention Coalitions, roles of key leaders and invitation to Commissioners to become key leaders. Presentation and discussion by Ray Quinn regarding the possibility of creating a Veterans helping Veterans Organization as American Legion dues are increasing significantly. Discuss/Approve/Deny consideration by the Emery County Commission acting as the governing body of the Castle Valley Special Service District, adoption of a resolution to annex portions of Castle Dale City, Clawson Town, Cleveland Town, Elmo Town, Emery Town, Ferron City, Huntington City, and Orangeville city into the Castle Valley Special Service District ; providing notice of intent to annex and inviting public comment; and related matters. Discuss/Approve/Deny veteran, blind and homeowner's tax abatements. Discuss/Approve/Deny low income abatement for James Smith, Ryan Cowley, Lorraine Cloward. Discuss/Approve/Deny closing of BOE. Discuss/Approve/Deny BOE changes for 2024. Discuss/Approve/Deny Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract 140L5720C0010-P00007 between the Emery County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Land Management exercising Option 4 for law enforcement services on BLM lands within Emery County. Discuss/Approve/Deny Privacy Compliance Plan Resolution as required by Utah Code ยง63G-31-304. Discuss/Approve/Deny Contract between Emery County and Arrowhead Construction for renovation and remodel of restrooms in the Emery County Administration Building. Commission/Elected Officials Reports Adjourn. Any other business which may regularly come before The Board.
