Old Business Changes to R432-35 background checks - Janice Weinman HB495 adds Rap back definition and requirements; adjusts and updates statutes to be reviewed in line with rest of the division. Doug recommended approval on 5.8.24 once we have a quorum. Rules updates for legislation: R432-31 Life with Dignity Order HB200 Change from 'POLST' to 'OLST' and who can sign. Committee members in attendance on 5.8.24 agree with this change. Member will vote when we have a quorum. R432-270 Assisted Living amendment (adding additional training for Executive Directors and Administrators). R432-270 Assisted Living Subcommittee update addressed the term 'unit' removed problematic language and referred to 432-6 definition of 'Resident Living Unit' means: (i) a one bedroom unit which may also include a bathroom and additional living space; or (ii) a two bedroom unit which may also include a bathroom and additional living space. (c) 'Additional Living Space' means a living room, dining area and kitchen, or a combination of these rooms or areas in a resident living unit. Committee members in attendance on 5.8.24 recommend moving forward & will vote when we have a quorum. Updates to HB495 in regard to staff tampering with a monitoring device and maximum of 30 residents in a secure unit. (432-6 will additionally require updates once 432-4 goes through) Update on R432-45 Nurse Aid Registry - Janice Weinman HB495 prohibits CNA training to inmates, removes misconduct section, cleans up and better organizes content 432-4 still trying to get through legal following questions on how we are working with standards and guidelines without incorporating by reference in rule (IMs as recommended standards) Doug recommended the changes to R432-45 be deferred for approval until a quorum is in place and the updated rule be read through completely for clarity and approval by the committee. This recommendation was approved by all members present 5.8.24 - Changes to R432-150, R432-1 and 380-600 presented on 5.8.24 need committee member approval. - Janice Weinman New Business - New rule needed R432-501 to establish a new category of licensure 'Freestanding Emergency Department' in response to HB570.
