- Online Open House // New Active Projects Online Open Houses are Held Electronically Without an Anchor Location. How to Attend // Online Open Houses are hosted by the Planning Division as an opportunity for constituents to stay informed, review projects, and provide comments and questions. To attend, click on the project link for each item below. Your input is valuable! Comments & Questions // We want to hear from you! Public comments and questions will be received within the public comment window. To submit a comment or question please contact the assigned planner via email or leave a voicemail, your questions will be answered within a week after the comment window has ended. During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission. New Active Projects // The list of new active projects open for public comment is updated bi-weekly. - Design Review Chapter 21A.59 - Text Amendment On November 8, 2023, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission initiated a petition for a text amendment that would make changes to section 21A.59.050 Standards for Design Review. The Commission specifically directed Planning Staff to remove design review standard 21A.59.050.D.2, which speaks to building modulation, because they believe the standard does not produce high quality building design. In addition, Staff is also proposing amendments that would clarify when existing standards apply and to ensure the language meets the intent of the standard. New standards are proposed and standards that are required elsewhere in the Zoning Ordinance have been deleted from the Design Review chapter.
