Date: July 16, 2024, 3:00 pm Location: Emery County Administration Building 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, Utah Emery County Board of Commissioners: Keven Jensen - Chairman Jordan Leonard - Vice Chairman Lynn Sitterud - Commissioner -Pledge of Allegiance/ Invocation- (Note to the public: The consent agenda consists of item(s) that are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in the form of one motion. Any items can be removed from the consent agenda and heard in its regular order at the request of any commissioner.) CONSENT AGENDA Approval of check edit list, requisitions, and dispositions. Approval of June 18, 2024, Commission Meeting Minutes. NOTIFICATION selected Ansley Staley as a part time laborer for the Road Department mowing weeds. 19.75 hours per week, not eligible for benefits, wage $18.00 per hour, effective 7-1-24. Approval to hire Baylee Jacobson as a seasonal laborer for the Road Department. 29 hours per week, not eligible for benefits, wage $18.00 per hour, effective 7-18-24. NOTIFICATION selected Gary Price as a part time Weed & Mosquito Technician. 19.75 hours per week, not eligible for benefits, wage Grade 15, effective 6-19-24 Approval to promote Joshua Opp to a Deputy II after 3 consecutive years of service being certified. Move from Grade 16 to Grade 17, effective 7-22-24. Approval to give Richard W. Ryan a 3% wage increase for successful completion of his 6 month orientation period as the Green River Sergeant, effective 7-22-24 Approval to give Nya Pattillo a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as the Assistant Librarian in Huntington, effective 7-22-24. Approval to give Madilyn Bunnell a 3% wage increase for successful completion of her 6 month orientation period as a Head Lifeguard, effective 7-22-24. Ratification of letter of support on behalf of Wolverine Fuels application to the State of Utah's tax credit program. Approval of the following people/groups to be volunteers at the Emery County Fair July 23-27, 2024: Dawnette Gordon, Natalie Olsen, Patsy Stoddard, Shawnee Snow, Alyscia Burr, Justin Thornley, Kasey Edgehouse, Brady Larsen, Dustin Snow, Talina Labrum, Darek Labrum, Shaun Bell, Roxanne Jensen, Tiffany Cowley, Niki Allred, Brett White, Jaydon Mead, Shelby Bagley, Mandy Peterson, Jake Peterson, Emily Ware,Riatta Cummings, Misty Christiansen, Heather Blake, Julie Johnansen, Brooklyn Funk, Kevin Butler, and Amanda Leonard. Emery High School Golf Team, FFA Youth Group, Warriors Baseball Team, and Hoodoos Baseball Team. Approval to appoint Karrie Jewett to the Emery County Library Board to represent the communities of Ferron and Emery. Discussion Items Items pulled from the consent agenda. Safety Minute Presentation - Maegan Crosland Executive Assistant/Records Specialist. Awarding of Safety Visa Gift Cards (312 days, no loss time WC incident). Introduction of the 2024 Miss Emery Royalty. PUBLIC HEARING: A public hearing in order to receive public comment regarding consideration of a Level II Conditional Use Permit for the Hunter Utah Storage Acquisitions, L.L.C. on four parcels near Clawson, UT. Discuss/Approve/Deny issuance of Level II Conditional Use Permit for the Hunter Utah Storage Acquisitions, L.L.C. on four parcels near Clawson, UT. Ratification of the 2025 LSTA Grant Project Aging Masterfully Contract (State of Utah Contract 250133) Ratification of the 2025 LSTA Grant Project Let's Keep the Party Going: Expanding Emery County Libraries' Library of Things Contract (State of Utah Contract 250132) Discuss/Approve/Deny Acceptance of the FY25 LSTA Borrower Support Grant (APP-24411) Discuss/Approve/Deny signing a Memorandum of Agreement between Emery County Library System and Utah State Library Division to participate in the Beehive Consortium for OverDrive service for 2025. Discuss/Approve/Deny presentation and monetary donation request by A Boulder Way Forward. Discuss/Approve/Deny Trane Controls Proposal for HVAC upgrade work at the Emery County Administration Building. Commission/Elected Officials Reports Adjourn.
