- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN The Mayor and City Council of Helper City, A Municipal Corporation will hold a regular meeting on the 11th day of July 2024. At the Council Chambers 19 South Main, Helper, Utah. The meeting shall begin at 6:00 pm. 1- Call to order. 2- Pledge of Allegiance. 3- Roll call. 4- Public Comment. 5- Approval of the minutes from the May 31, 2024, special meeting, June 6, 2024, regular meeting, and June 20, 2024, regular meeting. 6- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing temp power cords with the Arts Festival of $2,000 and the City of $1,500. 7- Discussion and possible approval of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Helper City Fire Department and the State of Utah Department of Public Safety for Mental Health Grant resources. 8- Discussion and possible approval of Contract between Helper City and Western Area Power Administration for continuation of services. 9- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing fertilizer in the amount of $2,880. 10- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing a pool vacuum and attachments in the amount of $4,477 before shipping. 11- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing culinary water testing supplies in the amount of $1,011 before shipping. 12- Discussion and possible approval of purchasing chlorine scales for culinary water in the amount of $4376 before shipping. 13- Discussion and possible approval of Resolution 2024-09 a resolution providing for a referendum to be held on November 5, 2024, for the purpose of submitting to the Qualified Voters of the City of Helper, Carbon County, Utah, the question of the reauthorization of the imposition of a one-tenth of percent Sales and Use Tax for Botanical, Recreational, and Zoological Tax, for the purpose of funding recreational and cultural facilities; approving the form and directing the publication; and related matters. Reports only from Council Members and Department Heads. Possible closed session. Adjournment: The public is invited to submit questions or comments 24 hours before the meeting on agenda items only by calling (435) 472-5391 or emailing ztonc@helpercity.net. I Zack Tonc Helper City Recorder, do hereby certify the above notice and agenda was posted on the 9th day of July 2024 at City Hall and Utah Public Notice Website. Agenda was provided to the media at least 24 hours before such meeting.
