Presentation: 1. Certified Municipal Clerk Award for Christy Ballard. C. Appointments: 1. Swearing in of the city Treasurer and Recorder. D. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Meeting Minutes: June 5, 2024, work and regular meeting 4. Checks and Invoices: $484,616.21 E. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2024-14, an ordinance amending the zoning map of and for the City of La Verkin to rezone from Low-Density Residential (R-1-14) to Tourist Commercial (COMM-T) two parcels with the Tax ID # LV-40 and LV-40-B, a combined total of .65 acres located directly west of 310 South 100 West and 320 South 100 West. 2. Discussion and possible action to recommend approval of Ordinance No. R-2024-15 amending the zoning map of and for the City of La Verkin to rezone from Residential-Agricultural (R-A-1) to One Family Residential (R-1-8) for two partials LV-3-1-13-34031 and LV-3-1-13-34021, a combined total of 7.37 acres located west of Cottonwood Hollow Phase 4 and east of 974 North State Street. 3. Discussion and possible action to approve a subdivision amendment for Crestview Village Subdivision. 4. Discussion and possible action to ratify the resolution authorizing the city to pick up the public safety and Firefighter Tier II Contributory Retirement System increase. 5. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution R-2024-12, a resolution setting the Certified Tax Rate for La Verkin City for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2024. 6. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2024-16, an ordinance amending the Animal Control ordinance. 7. Discussion and possible action approving Resolution R-2024-13 authorizing a $.03 per 1,000-gallon water rate increase. 8. Discussion and possible action to grant a preliminary plat extension for the Sunset Mesa Subdivision, a six-lot subdivision located between 41 South 560 West and 61 South 560 West. 9. Discussion and possible action to grant a preliminary plat extension for Chaco Ridge Subdivision. 10. Discussion regarding the ChargeWest Partnership Agreement between the Zion Regional Collaborative (ZRC) and Utah Clean Cities (UCC). 11. Discussion regarding the Southern Utah Regional Trail Standards. 12. Discussion and possible action to update the city website. 13.
