- The Planning & Zoning Commission would like public input on updating the zoning districts and city land use regulations at this meeting. The Land Use Ordinance of Lewiston is designed and enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity and welfare of the present and future inhabitants of the City, including, amongst other things, the lessening of congestion in the streets or roads, securing safety from fire and other dangers, providing adequate light and air, classification of land uses and distribution of land development and utilization, protection of the tax base, securing economy in governmental expenditures, fostering the City's commercial and industrial growth, and the protection of both residential and nonresidential development. Agenda 1. Call to Order - Pledge of Allegiance - Opening remarks 2. Public Hearing - Resident input on updating zoning districts and land use regulations 3. Business - Review and approval of prior meeting minutes - Cole Naegle - possibility of building personal storage shed (not for ag use) on his property - parcels 14-005-0008 or 14-008-0002 - Business License approvals 4. City Business - Councilman Morrison Report o Sugar Lane road plans - Municipal Codes - Discussion and Proposed Updates - Work through building permits 5. Adjourn Next scheduled meeting is January 3rd
