This meeting will be conducted both in-person and electronically via Webex Meetings. If an individual is unable to attend the meeting in person, they may email their comments to dcalacino@slco.org by 10:00 AM the day of the meeting to have the comments distributed to the board and read into the record at the appropriate time. 11:55 Business Item - Approval of March 2024 Minutes Board will vote on the approval of March 2024 meeting minutes. Action Item: Board Vote Required - Minutes approval 12:00 Division Director Recruitment Update Joey McNamee, Associate Department Director of Community Services Joey will provide updates on the recruitment of the new Parks & Recreation Division Director. Informational: No Action Required 12:05 Director's Report Julie Peck-Dabling, Interim Division Director Julie will provide a brief overview of division-wide updates. Informational: No Action Required 12:10 Section Update Doranne Pittz, Associate Director of Recreation Patrick Leary, Associate Director of Parks, Trails, and Open Space Walt Gilmore, Associate Director of Planning Brent Laulusa, Associate Director of Fiscal Operations Jerry Brewster, Associate Director of Golf, Interim Division Director Callista Pearson, Communications and P&R Manager, Community Engagement Each section will provide brief updates on their current projects and programs. Informational: No Action Required 12:20 Naming of the Bridge in Bluffdale Julie Peck-Dabling, Interim Division Director Julie will discuss the bridge naming proposal that was previously considered in the December 2023 meeting. Informational: No Action Required 12:30 Airsoft Guns in County Parks Discussion Julie Peck-Dabling, Interim Division Director Sophia Schwankl, Skyline High School Student and Councilmember on Mayor's Youth Government Julie and Sophie will lead further discussions on the use of airsoft guns in County Parks and the possibilities of creating a policy.
