- NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Uintah Water Conservancy District (UWCD) will hold a public hearing to discuss submitting an application to the Permanent Community Impact Board (CIB) for funding of the proposed Jensen Unit Pumping Plant - Phase 1 project. This project proposes to construct a pumping station that will pump water from Green River for the irrigation of lands near Jensen and for municipal and industrial purposes by exchange with water from Big Brush Creek. Phase 1 of this project would consist of preplanning legal and engineering services; feasibility study and existing system evaluations; environmental impact statement and associated work; preconstruction engineering and survey; and water transfers, legal and funding administration. The CIB funding application will be in the amount of $4,000,000. UWCD will solicit comments concerning the size, scope, and nature of the funding request for the above project. All interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard. The public is encouraged to attend. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. in the conference room at the Uintah Water Conservancy District, 78 West 3300 North, Vernal, Utah.
