PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Grantsville City is inviting offers from water right owners to sell water rights to Grantsville City (the 'City'). To be considered for purchase by the City, the water right must be within the Tooele Valley and be able to be converted to municipal use by the City. All persons or entities interested in selling water rights to the City shall submit either a written offer to Sherrie Broadbent, Grantsville City Finance Director at 429 East Main Street, Grantsville Utah 84029 on or before July 1, at 3:00 p.m. Persons interested in submitting a written offer to the City, should provide the following information: - Seller's name, phone number and mailing address - Water Right Number(s) - Number of acre feet offered - Name of owner of water right(s), if different from seller - Information regarding how the water right(s) have been placed to beneficial use during the past seven years - Place(s) of use of the water right(s) - Point(s) of diversion of the water right(s) - Sales price (offers without a sales price will not be considered) All purchases of water rights shall be structured to close at the time the State Engineer approves a Change Application to allow the City to divert the water right from City water sources for municipal use. Seller will be required to take all necessary steps and pay for (1) all costs associated with the Change Application, (2) all costs for a policy of water right title insurance, and (3) all closing costs.
