2025 SANTA CLARA CITY ELECTION INFORMATION
Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The polls will be open between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. A Primary Election (if necessary) will be held on Tuesday August 12, 2025.
VACANCIES IN OFFICE TO BE FILLED: Vacancies in office to be filled are as follows:
Mayor At-Large Four-Year Term
Council member At-Large Four-Year Term
Council member At-Large Four-Year Term
TO FILE FOR OFFICE: Each person seeking to become a candidate for a municipal office shall file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the Santa Clara City Recorder at the City Office, 2603 Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah, during regular office hours, filing period begins Monday June 2, 2025 from 8 am - 5 pm. and ends Friday June 6, 2025 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE:
1. Be a United States citizen at time of filing.
2. Be a registered voter of the municipality.
3. Be a resident of the municipality for a period of 365
consecutive days immediately preceding the date of the election.
4. Any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this State until the right to vote or hold elective office has been restored.
5. Must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City Recorder within the filing deadline. Any resident of the municipality may file a Nomination Petition within the filing deadline, to nominate a person to become a candidate for municipal office. During this filing, they must state whether they meet all the constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for the municipal office.
