AMENDED NOTICE OF ELECTION
Amended 2025 Notice of Municipal Election for Orangeville City
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to UCA § 20A-5-101, Orangeville City will hold a Municipal Election this fall to elect a Mayor and four Council Members. The Primary Election date is Tuesday, August 12, 2025 and the General Election date is Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Orangeville City elections are non-partisan.
The Mayor vacancy will serve a 4-year term, two council member seats will serve a 4- year term and two council member seats will serve a 2- year- term.
The incumbents are: Mayor Shaun Bell and Council Members Meran Kay, Tracy Addley and Kari Alton, and Kevin Butler.
Qualified individuals interested in filing for one of these offices must meet the requirements outlined in (UCA § 20A-9-203):
1. Must file a Declaration of Candidacy (UCA § 20A-9-203 SB164) and Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement (UCA § 20A-11-1602) in person with the city Recorder at 25 N. Main St. during the period of June 2, 2025 -June 6, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and June 26,2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (UCA § 10-3-301).
2. Be a United States citizen at time of filing.
3. Be at least 18 years of age.
4. Be a registered voter of Orangeville City.
5. Be a resident of Orangeville City or a resident of the recently annexed area for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election.
6. Not be a convicted felon
A Primary Election will be held on August 12, 2025, if the number of candidates exceeds twice the number of available positions.
The General Election Day will be on November 4, 2025.
