Elwood Town Council Meeting
April 8, 2025
The Elwood Town Council met at the Elwood Town Hall, 5235 West 8800 North, Elwood, Utah, at 7:00, April 8, 2025. The following members were present, consisting of a quorum.

ADMINISTRATION

Councilmember Lay- Prayer
Mayor Nelson welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Minutes for the Feb 11 & March 11, 2025 town council meetings were presented for approval.
Councilmember Hardy made a motion to approve the minutes for Feb 11 & March 11 2025. Councilmember Goodliffe seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion.
Item#1 Preliminary site plan & MDA agreement RV park-Art Bingham, Mr. Bingham presented the preliminary site plan and the MDA agreement to the council. The council discussed the MDA and site plan. Mayor Nelson stated the planning commission recommended it to the council.
Councilmember Goodliffe made a motion to approve the preliminary site plan & MDA agreement. Councilmember Pace seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion.
Item#2 Rescinding the MPC zone ordinance. Mayor Nelson stated that the planning commission has rescinded the MPC ordinance and requested the Town Council to approve the rescinding the ordinance.
Councilmember Lay made a motion to rescind the MPC zone ordinance. Councilmember Pace seconded the motion. The voting was unanimous in favor of the motion.
Item#4 Planning Commission-Karolina Munns reported that we are working on ordinances.
Item#5 Sheriff's Department Report & donation for Elvis K9- Officer Kennedy was absent, but Officer Kennedy asked for a donation to help purchase a dog box for the vehicle.
Councilmember Pace made a motion to donate $1,000 for K9 Elvis box. Councilmember Hardy seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor of the motion.
WATER
Steve had nothing to report.
SEWER
Steve had nothing to report.
PARKS AND RECREATION
4th of July-Tyler Allen reported that he would volunteer to be the chair again this year if we could hold the 4th of July at Hansen Park. Tyler asked if they had a budget for the celebration. The council budgeted $5000.00 for the town event.
Councilmember Hardy made a motion to budget $5,000 for the 4th of July. Councilmember Lay seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor of the motion.
ROADS
Councilmember Goodliffe had nothing to report.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Councilmember Hardy nothing to report.
OTHER
Councilmember Pace made a motion to adjourn, Councilmember Hardy seconded the motion, and the remaining council agreed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:12p.m.
