Proposed Funding Request: $6.5 Million for Lake Point Fire Station Remodel and Ladder Fire Truck
Pursuant to the requirements of the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) and in accordance with Utah State Law, the North Tooele Fire District (NTFD) hereby provides public notice of a formal public hearing to solicit comments and discuss the proposed funding request for the remodel of the Lake Point Fire Station and the acquisition of a new ladder fire truck.

Purpose: To discuss the proposed funding request, including the project scope, financing scenarios, and potential financial impacts to the community.
Project Overview:
The North Tooele Fire District is proposing a $6.5 million funding request to the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) for the following projects:
1. Lake Point Fire Station Remodel ($5 Million):
Enhance the station's capacity to respond to emergencies along Interstate 80 (I-80) and support the growing communities of Lake Point, Stansbury, Erda and Pine Canyon.
Upgrades include improved infrastructure, expanded facilities, and increased emergency response readiness.
2. Ladder Fire Truck Acquisition ($1.5 Million):
Purchase a new ladder fire truck to better serve the district's growing residential and commercial areas, including multi-story structures.
Improve firefighting and rescue capabilities, particularly in areas with tall buildings and complex fire scenarios.
Public Involvement:
Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion. The public hearing will cover:
1. Project size, scope, and nature.
2. Detailed financing scenarios, including potential loan funding.
3. Expected financial impact, repayment terms, and potential costs to the public, including user fees, special assessments, or property taxes.
