PUBLIC NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL VACANCY Notice is hereby given that the Duchesne City Council has a Council seat vacancy due to the resignation of Council Member Tom Bruton effective May 12, 2025, at 5:30 PM and will be accepting applications from interested individuals for filling said vacancy. Applicants must have lived within Duchesne City limits for the last 12 consecutive months, be a registered voter, and cannot be a convicted felon. The term will last until December 31, 2025. Applications for the City Council seat can be obtained from and returned to the Duchesne City Recorder at 500 E Main Street, Duchesne, UT 84021, during regular business hours, M-TH 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. If you have further questions, call (435) 738-2464. The deadline for application submission is May 21, 2025, at 12:00 noon. Candidates will be interviewed by the City Council in an open public meeting taking place on May 27, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Duchesne City office building located at 500 E Main, Duchesne, UT 84021.
