NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids shall be received (1) electronically uploaded via Bonfire, (2) by U.S. mail addressed to the office of the City Engineer, located at 349 South 200 East, Suite 600, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111, or (3) by in-person hand delivery of a hard copy at the office of the City Engineer, located at 349 South 200 East, Suite 600, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 for the following: FISHER MANSION STABILIZATION, JOB NO. FAC23007. Emailed bids or bids delivered to any other location will not be accepted. When submitting a bid electronically, bidders must allow sufficient time before the deadline to complete the forms and upload documents. The bid event will end at the closing time posted on Bonfire. If a bidder is in the middle of uploading a bid when the closing time arrives, Bonfire will stop the process and the bid or bid modification will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened online via Microsoft Teams at or about 2:15 p.m., local prevailing time on May 28, 2025. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Contract Documents may be obtained for free online via Bonfire (The Utah Public Procurement Place website). The plans and specifications can be reviewed and downloaded at the following web site: https://utah.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities To ensure notification of addenda is received, BIDDERS please register with Utah Public Procurement Place (UP3): https://purchasing.utah.gov/ The Construction Contract will be awarded in compliance with Salt Lake City's Building Improvement and Public Works Bidding Program which takes into account certain factors in the Bidder's work environment (See Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115) (See Document 00 22 16, Article 1.2, paragraph 'A' for a link to the City Code). ATTENTION TO CONTRACTORS: On MAY 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., a pre-bid conference will be held online via Microsoft Teams. Specific meeting instructions will be found on Bonfire prior to the meeting. Attendance is highly encouraged. All contractors intending to submit a bid are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project. Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, Scope of Work, etc. may be discussed. OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the pre-bid conference to Bidders who do not attend. Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend. The work to be performed consists of repairs necessitated by the 2020 earthquake as well as structural stabilization of the Mansion. This project includes dry core reinforcing of the exterior masonry walls, tying the floors and roof structurally into the exterior wall, structurally reinforcing the building foundation, repouring the basement concrete slab, reinstalling the masonry chimneys, installing a new roof, pointing and repairing the exterior masonry, repairing the cracks in the interior walls and ceiling, interior painting, installing new sewer line. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
