Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Economy System Committee Meeting Wednesday, May 14, 2025; 3:30 P.M. 311 S. State St., Suite 330, SLC, UT 84111 Notice is hereby given that the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council Economy System Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, beginning at approximately 3:30 P.M. You may attend the meeting at the anchor location: the CWC offices located in the Brighton Bank building, 311 S. State Street Ste. 330, Salt Lake City, or virtually by registering at the below link. Please note that after registering, you will receive an email containing a meeting access link. https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZckdOqspjkqHdA-AAhsa3fo0Qh_WAuxGegS Please take notice that a quorum the Board of Commissioners (the 'Board') of the Central Wasatch Commission (the 'CWC') may attend the meeting of the Stakeholders Council Economy System Committee scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2025; beginning at 3:30 P.M. The agenda for that meeting of the Committee is accessible here: Utah Public Notice Website, the anchor location, The Salt Lake Tribune, and Deseret News. Civility and decorum should be applied in all discussions and debate. Difficult questions, tough challenges to a point of view, and criticism of ideas and information are legitimate elements of a free democracy in action. Public officials and the public are encouraged to refrain from making belligerent, personal, impertinent, slanderous, threatening, abusive, or disparaging comments. 3:30 P.M. Opening 1. Chair John Adams will open the public meeting of the Economy System Committee. 2. Review and approval of the minutes of the March 12, 2025 meeting. 3. Review and approval of the minutes of the April 9, 2025 meeting. 3:35 P.M. 'Economy of the Canyons' Concept 1. The committee will review and finalize the document titled 'Economy of the Canyons'. 3:45 P.M. Cottonwood Canyons Revenue Allocation Discussion 1. The committee will continue to work on identifying revenue generated by the canyons and ideas for allocating some of that revenue directly back into the canyons. a. Progress on attempts to identify tax revenue in the Cottonwood Canyons from the ski resorts. b. Ideas on where money could be reinvested back into the canyons. c. Potential letter to CWC Commissioners. 2. The committee will determine next steps and action items. 4:10 P.M. Small Businesses Discussion 1. Committee member Ed Marshall will discuss the committee's treatment of small businesses in the canyons. 4:20 P.M. Other Items 2. The committee may raise other topics not previously discussed. 3. The committee will discuss potential agenda items for the June 11, 2025 meeting. 4:25 P.M. Public Comment 4:30 P.M. Closing 1.
