ADJOURN CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOTICE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND RENEWAL AGENCY BUSINESS MEETING AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Cottonwood Heights Community Development and Renewal Agency will hold a Business Meeting beginning at or about 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in the Cottonwood Heights City Council Chambers located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The minutes of this meeting will be approved through the following process: The Agency's secretary promptly will circulate a draft copy of the minutes to the Board members, who then will have three business days to provide any proposed corrections to the secretary. The secretary will then circulate a revised draft of the minutes to the Board members, and the same review process will continue until such time as no corrections to the draft minutes are received within the three business days review period, whereupon that draft of the minutes will be deemed approved and will become the final minutes of the meeting. 4.0 ADJOURN On Thursday, May 1, 2025, a copy of the foregoing notice was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The public may remotely view the open portions of the meeting through live broadcast by connecting to https://www.youtube.com/@CottonwoodHeights/streams, the city's YouTube channel. Persons physically attending the meeting in the City Council Chambers may make verbal comments to the City Council when invited to do so, after completing a speaker comment card. Citizen comments may also be submitted in writing to the city recorder at cityrecorder@ch.utah.gov by noon, on the meeting date. In the interest of time and those attending the meeting live, however, submitted written comments will be entered into the record and distributed to the City Council, but will not be read at the public meeting. (This ordinance will amend CHC Section 10.64.030 concerning discharge of weapons within the city limits). 5.2 Consideration of Resolution 2025-28 Approving Entry into an Interlocal Agreement with Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area for Landscaping, Maintenance, Park Management and Event Coordination Services. (By this resolution the council will approve an interlocal agreement whereunder the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area will provide landscaping, maintenance, park management and event coordination services to the city). 5.3 Consideration of Resolution 2025-29 Approving an Easement with Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake and Sandy (Cottonwood Connection Project). (This resolution will approve the city's entry into an easement agreement benefitting the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake and Sandy in connection with its 'Cottonwood Connection' water system infrastructure project). 5.4 Consideration of Resolution 2025-30 Approving a Blowoff (Discharge) Agreement with Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake and Sandy (Cottonwood Connection Project). (By this resolution the council will approve the city's entry into an agreement regulating blowoff [discharge] of water from pipelines owned and operated by the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake and Sandy). 5.5 Consideration of Resolution 2025-31 Approving Appointments to the Historic Committee. (By this resolution the council will approve the manager's appointment of three new members of the city's historic committee). 5.6 Consideration of Resolution 2025-32 Approving an 'Event Proposal' Contract with Custom Events, Inc. for 2025 Butlerville Days. (By this resolution, the council will approve the city's entry into an agreement and addendum whereunder Custom Events, Inc. will provide activities for the city's 2025 Butlerville Days community event). 5.7 Consideration of Resolution 2025-33 Adopting a Tentative Budget for the Period of 1 July 2025 Through 30 June 2026; Providing for Public Inspection of Such Budget; Establishing the Time and Place of a Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of such Budget; and Providing for Public Notice of Such Hearing. (A budget is required to be adopted by the city council for each new fiscal year. This proposed resolution adopts the tentative budget for the city's 1 July 2025 through 30 June 2026 fiscal year, establishes the date of the public hearing for such budget, and provides for public notice of the hearing). 5.8 Consideration of Resolution 2025-34 Approving Appointments to the 'Health in the Heights' Advisory Committee. (By this resolution the council will approve the manager's appointment of Lauren Black and Audrey Durfee to the city's 'Health in the Heights' advisory committee). 5.9 Consideration of Resolution 2025-35 Appointing a Representative to the South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District. (This resolution will appoint Councilmember Ellen Birrell as the city's representative to the South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District). 6.0 CONSENT CALENDAR 6.1 Approval of the minutes for the City Council Work Session and Business Meetings of April 1, 2025, and April 15, 2025. 7.0 ADJOURN CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING On Thursday, May 1, 2025, a copy of the foregoing notices was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the Cottonwood Heights City Offices, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
