Marketing Agreement Between Tooele County and Tooele County Chamber of Commerce, Nathan Harris This is an agreement between Tooele County and the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce for marketing services. The Chamber will perform marketing services to aid in promoting Tooele County and advancing tourism. Attachments 1. 2025 Chamber of Commerce Marketing Agreement.pdf B. U3P Bates Canyon Rd. Street Improvements Project, Jed Bell, Roads The Road Department put out a public solicitation on U3P for Bates Canyon Road Street Improvements Project. We received 8 bids and the lowest responsible bidder was Black Forest Paving. We originally budgeted $875,000 for the project and the based bid came in at $818,535.00. We proposed adding an alternate to also overlay the full width of the road upon completion of the widening and that came in at $318,293.90 with a combined total of $1,136,829.30. The additional $261,829.00 will be transferred from the Building Replacement to Special Projects line in the 2025 Roads budget. Attachments 1. Black Forest 1-BID DOCS Complete.pdf 2. Memorandum of Understanding between Salt Lake, Davis, and Tooele Counties for a Joint Application of Federal Funds, Paul Wimmer This is an MOU between Salt Lake, Davis, and Tooele counties to apply jointly for a federal grant related to policing equipment. The total grant amount requested is around $1.5 million. This MOU outlines how the requested funds will be disbursed for certain equipment. Attachments 1. Contract with US Magnesium LLC for Deferral of Real Property Tax Sale, Mike Jensen This is a contract with US Magnesium for payments on back taxes that are due to the County. Resolution 2025-07 - Supporting the Expansion of the Utah Inland Port Authority Project Area Within Tooele County, Nathan Harris The Utah Inland Port Authority has requested that the County adopt a resolution for the expansion of the inland port located within the County. This resolution, if adopted, will allow for an additional approximately 232.52 acres to be added to the already existing inland port area within the County. Attachments 1. Res 2025-07.pdf 10. Small Business Development & Expansion Grant Award Recommendations The County Economic Opportunity Advisory Board is requesting approval for funding of the Small Business Development grants. The funding for this comes from the Rural County Grant. C. Approval of Proposed Tax Sale Parcels, Alison McCoy County Council to approve parcels marked for sale at tax sale to be held on May 8, 2025 at www.publicsurplus.com. 11. Boards & Committees A. The following boards have vacancies The Human Service Advisory Council has 13 vacancies. The Historic Preservation Commission has 2 vacancies. The Housing Authority has 1 vacancy for an Attorney. Lake Point Cemetery and Park has 1 vacancy The Planning Commission has 1 vacancy for an alternate Recreation Special Service District has 1 vacancy for an alternate Rush Valley Water Conservation District has 1 vacancy The Tourism Tax Advisory Board has 2 vacancies - they must represent cultural attractions, hotels, restaurants, recreational facilities, convention facilities, or museums. Building Assessment Contract with Bureau Veritas Technical Assessments This is an agreement for a study of our county facility buildings to assess the life of the buildings and needed maintenance.
